- Rohaizad/All,
-
- We will repair the modem. It will be under a warranty repair unless
- the modem was hit by a surge, lightning strike, damaged, tampered with
- or missused.
-
- When using a US modem outside of the US, you need to review the
- following:
-
- 1. If your modem is external then you will need a International power
- supply. (US voltage is 120 VAC input. International voltages range
- from 220-240 VAC) Do not use the modem with its standard power supply
- in a international outlet. It will cause damage to the modem.
-
- 2. You more than likely will need a phone line adapter.
-
- 3. In most cases you will need to blind dial. Blind dialing is done
- with the ATX1DT dial string.
-
- *We do recommend and cannot guarantee a US/Canada modem will work
- outside its intended areas. Many products are designed to meet country
- specifications. The modems code and hardware are often modified in
- international models. Many restrictions are by International law.
